How do I delete my account and all associated data?

To permanently delete your Vinylstash account and all associated data:

1. Open the Vinylstash app
2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
3. Scroll down to Account
4. Tap "Delete Account"
5. Confirm by typing "DELETE" when prompted
6. Tap "Delete My Account Permanently"

Important: This action is irreversible. All your data including playlists, play counts, and custom settings will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

How do I disconnect my Discogs account?

To disconnect your Discogs account from Vinylstash:

1. Open the Vinylstash app
2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
3. Scroll down to Account
4. Tap "Discogs Connection"
5. Tap "Disconnect"

This removes your Discogs account connection from Vinylstash, without deleting your Vinylstash account. Your data (playlists, play counts, etc.) will remain intact.

What data does Vinylstash collect?

Vinylstash collects minimal data to provide our services:

• Your Discogs collection data (read-only access)
• Play counts and last played dates you track in the app
• Custom playlists you create
• App usage analytics (anonymized)

We do not collect personal information beyond what's necessary for the app to function. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

How do I connect my Discogs account?

To connect your Discogs collection:

1. Log into Discogs and go to Account > Settings and make sure "Allow others to browse my collection" is enabled
2. Open Vinylstash and tap "Connect to Discogs". You can also do this from Settings
3. You'll be redirected to Discogs to authorize the connection
4. Grant read-only access to your collection
5. Return to Vinylstash to start exploring your collection

Why can't I see all my records?

If some records are missing:

• Make sure your Discogs collection is public or shared
• Check that the records are marked as "For Sale" or "Not For Sale" (not in Wantlist only)
• Try refreshing your collection in Settings
• Large collections may take a few minutes to fully sync

How do streaming services work with my vinyl collection?

Vinylstash helps you find your physical albums on streaming platforms:

• We search for matching albums on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music
• Tap the streaming service icons to open the album directly
• This lets you listen digitally to albums you own physically
• No streaming service account required through Vinylstash

How do play counts work?

Track your listening habits:

• Manually increment play count when you listen to a record
• View last played date and total play count
• Filter your collection by most/least played
• Reset play counts anytime from the album details

Can I create custom playlists?

Yes! Create and manage playlists:

• Queue: Add albums to play next
• Favorites: Mark your favorite albums
• Custom Playlists: Create themed collections
• All playlists sync across your devices

The app is running slowly or crashing

Try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Close and restart the app
2. Check for app updates in your app store
3. Restart your device
4. Clear the app cache (Android: Settings → Apps → Vinylstash → Storage → Clear Cache)
